Swiss School Alumni Homecoming 2011
Welcome to the wild, Wild West in Passugg!
On Saturday 29th October, 65 alumni, junior alumni and staff members met in Passugg to celebrate the annual Swiss School Alumni Homecoming.
All students were invited to join the alumni for the apero and soon all were exchanging present and past experiences Ursula Gehbauer and Corina Smolin (HF2) welcomed the alumni and opened the “saloon” for the dinner.
A dining room lovingly decorated in a western theme awaited the guests. Dinner was served from an opulent appetizer and main course buffet. Keeping with the western theme, nachos, chili con carne, lamb racks, hamburger, baked beans and country cuts were just a few of the delicious dishes offered. The musical performance of Thomas and Diego from HF1 was the absolute highlight of the evening. Many alumni had a lump in their throat when they started off their performance with the song “Coming Home”.
Three anniversaries were celebrated: Paul Osighala from Nigeria celebrated his 10th “year after graduation”, Oskar Schönbeck his 20th and Hans Ulrich Cramer a fantastic 40th. Beat Wicki congratulated the alumni and thanked them for their support and loyalty to the Swiss School Alumni Association. After a fantastic dessert buffet (including a chocolate fountain), the Stübli opened for the “after show party”.
A big THANK YOU to the HF2 class, the musicians Thomas and Diego, Thomas Köster, Martin Theus and all of you that supported this event.
