The Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management (BSc) is a curriculum designed and delivered by Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL). From autumn 2018 classes will also take place on the campus of SSTH Swiss School of Tourism and Hospitality in Passugg as a member of the EHL Group. The Commission on Higher Education Institutions of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), which accredits EHL, has now also confirmed SSTH as a new location for the Bachelor.

The SSTH campus has been recognized by the Commission on Higher Education Institutions of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in the United States as an additional location for the Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management (BSc). The Commission confirms that the delivery of the Bachelor program on the SSTH campus meets all requirements and guidelines.

Students with the degree "Dipl. Hôtelière-Restauratrice/Hôtelier-Restaurateur HF" from any hotel management school recognized by the Swiss federal government can thus complete the Bachelor at the SSTH campus in Passugg from September 2018. Their training and professional experience entitle them to direct entry into the 1.5-year program, which is accredited with 90 ECTS points.

The curriculum of the Bachelor program is designed by EHL and is delivered with EHL’s full academic responsibility. After two semesters in Passugg, Bachelor students complete their third semester on the Lausanne campus. The Bachelor’s degree awarded by the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland (HES-SO) is the only Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management recognized by the Swiss federal government.

This new opportunity is made possible as SSTH is a member of the EHL Group. The hospitality industry is growing rapidly in Switzerland as well as internationally, and the demand for industry talent is enormous. Thanks to the combination of practical professional skills of the Swiss Professional Degree "Dipl. Hôtelière-Restauratrice/Hôtelier-Restaurateur HF" and the academic strengths of the EHL Bachelor, graduates have access to a unique world with excellent career opportunities. As mastering "daily business" tasks with practical know-how and soft skills as well as conceptual work are part of both study programs.
