    A growing industry
    According to the World Travel & Tourism Council, the travel and tourism industry generates over 2 Billion US Dollar in sales. The longer term expectations also look promising: In 2022, an ever stronger growth is anticipated with over 230 million employees in the travel sector - which would mean that every 10th person will be employed in this industry. As Mr. David Scowsill, President and CEO of WTTC states: "It is clear that the travel & tourism industry is going to be a significant driver of global growth and employment for the next decade".

    These numbers speak for themselves. The many possibilities and responsibilities which need young and dedicated people to carry them out could hardly be more interesting: for instance being a team leader, organizing big events, managing a Grand Hotel, or running the marketing department of a tourism company. Upon completion of training at SSTH, our graduates have developed both management and specialist skills. They are able to start as competent leaders in the world of service industries, managing deaprtments and teams independently, strategically, operationally and socially.
